How does Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) Usage Affect The Financial Management of Micro, Small, and Medium Sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia?

Abstrak
In recent years, digital payments in Indonesia have ascended with a support from the advancements in financial technology aimed at enhancing user convenience and efficiency. However, in contrast to this progress, Indonesian Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) face serious financial management difficulties that frequently result in bankruptcy. In response to this problem, Bank Indonesia launched the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) as an effort to lower failure rates of MSMEs by fostering digitalization in the sector. Two topics connected to the impact of QRIS usage by Indonesian MSMEs and its reason to adopt QRIS will be discussed in this research. Data will be gathered by utilizing primary data from Indonesian MSMEs owners who use QRIS, and secondary data from relevant journals and websites, in which will be processed quantitatively. This study identifies the ease of financial management, transaction efficiency, safe transactions, and cost savings as key drivers for QRIS adoption. In order to correlate the reason to utilize QRIS and how it impacts the user’s financial management, the data were also used to support the hypotheses that were developed. The research confirms a positive relationship between QRIS usage and improved financial management, highlighting more effective record-keeping, increased transaction efficiency among users, and higher profitability and sales. These findings offer valuable insights for the Indonesian government to promote QRIS adoption, enhancing digital payment systems and driving economic growth and sustainability in Indonesia's digital era.
