Developing Green Entrepreneurship Behavior Among Female Leaders at SMEs In Yogyakarta Through Entrepreneurship Education Training Program A Mediated-Mediation Series
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the role of the mediating path model on the effect of entrepreneurship ecosystem support and commitment to the environment on the relationship between entrepreneurship education training programs and green entrepreneurship behavior. The study was based on cross-sectional data collected from 106 female leaders at SMEs in Yogyakarta and tested the hypothesis using SEM-PLS. The results show that all the hypotheses were statistically supported. Specifically, entrepreneurship education training programs positively impact green entrepreneurship behavior. Entrepreneurship ecosystem support and commitment to the environment, both individually and serially, mediate the positive relationship between entrepreneurship education training programs and green entrepreneurship behavior. This research has implications for academics by providing a foundation for future research and initiatives to foster a green entrepreneurship landscape, and for policymakers and education institutions to arrange a program for sustainability business while strengthening the entrepreneurship ecosystem by providing access to resources, green funding, continuous education, and networking opportunities to foster a commitment to the environment. This study applied a cross-sectional approach, and the respondents were inaccessible. Future research could utilize a larger population and sample from several provinces in Indonesia to compare SMEs from different demographics. This approach would allow researchers to easily reach respondents from various regions across Indonesia.
